Written and directed by Robert Thomas and Elliott Ridgway. Bonus Videos: Trailer Show Fun Facts This film was created for Wichita’s “Down to the Wire” 24-hour film race in the summer of 2018. We were required to incorporate the dialog between the two soccer player kids in the opening scene, and we had to include a prop from a sponsored hardware store (we chose worms for the dead body). After the end of the film race, Robert and Elliott chose to polish the film a little before releasing it, ultimately holding onto it for the third entry in Year of Film.

	Offline Original Release Date: March 31, 2019 A YouTuber has a fateful meeting at a coffee shop. Written and directed by Elliott Ridgway. Bonus Videos: Trailer Show Fun Facts “Offline” was originally intended to be our first foray into shooting on real 16mm film. We acquired a Krasnogorsk-3 16mm film camera, and several rolls of Kodak color film. Sadly, the camera itself was in pretty poor shape, which we didn’t realize until we got all of our film back from the lab and saw that almost all of it was out of focus. In the end, we were able to assemble a finished film using the backup/practice shots we had filmed with a normal digital camera in between the shots taken with the film camera.

	Closing Time Original Release Date: September 23, 2019 A young man named Franklin finds himself transforming into an alien. Written and directed by Elliott Ridgway. Bonus Videos: Trailer Show Fun Facts “Closing Time” was a script written by Elliott in 2011 for a screenwriting class at the University of Tulsa. The Ridgways had originally intended to shoot “Closing Time” the following summer, but the project was scrapped in favor of “Creepypasta”, “Harry Potter and the Final Video”, and “Earthbound Episode 6”. Elliott sat on the script until 2018, when Robert and Elliott were both looking for another project to work on together. In the end, “Closing Time” was resurrected in order to be the grand finale for Year of Film.
	Year of Film Announcement Trailer Original Release Date: August 31, 2018 The original, high-intensity trailer announcing the arrival of YEAR OF FILM! Originally described as follows: “Year of Film is a year-long collaboration project between Ridgway Films and Fly by Night Productions, where we’ll be uploading one movie a month for a whole year!!! We’ll be doing a bunch of different stuff over the course of this project, including releasing the first part of the final episode of Earthbound!!! WOOT! The films will alternate between our two YouTube channels, so be sure to subscribe to both to catch all of them!” Show Fun Facts Several scrapped ideas never made it to the finish line for Year of Film. These included “The Red Mist,” a romantic drama film written by Brenen Hankins; “The Grandfather Paradox,” a dystopian sci-fi time-travel thriller; a short film centered around a coffee cup that changes owners; and a comedy about a man who forgets the PIN to access his fortune in bitcoin.
