“The Murder” was infamously included as a fake trailer hidden inside “TEH Sleepover of Awesomeness!!!111” vlog from 2010, since it was filmed during that sleepover. The entire film remained unseen until the Great Odysee Footage Dump of 2022™.
Ironically, the original fake trailer promised a release date in the summer of 2022, and that’s when we ended up releasing it!

This was our film fest entry for Camp Fangamer 2016, filmed and edited entirely at the camp! It was later screened during the finale of Camp Fangamer’s 36-hour film fest and awarded the PRESTIGIOUS Hitchcock award!
This was our New Year’s film project to commemorate the start of 2016. It was filmed on location south of Albuquerque, in order to ensure authentic neo-western thrills.
Lost and ‘Bound was made specifically for the EB Film Fest at the first Camp Fangamer in 2015. On July 18 (the first night of the convention), it won one of three “best film” awards at Camp Fangamer’s EB Film Fest.
The Let’s Play video we made to play on Rob’s screen towards the beginning of the film, entitled “~~LET’S PLAY EARTHBOUND!!!!!~~ Part 3: TOO MUCH LIPSTICK ;)”, is still on YouTube.
This fake trailer was created to pay homage to an annual Ridgway family tradition known as “the sock run.” Every Christmas, the Ridgway kids were treated to a scavenger hunt with clues scattered around their house, and the “major” Christmas present of that year (usually new video games) was the prize at the end of the hunt. The elusive, climactic presents were usually tucked away inside the siblings’ sock drawers, which is where the name “sock run” came from. Over the years, the hunt became increasingly elaborate, and many hiding places / family in-jokes are eluded to in this video.
This short was based on a true story: One sunny morning, Robbie and Jeff Benson exited the 4th Street Bowl coffee shop in San Jose with Elliott Ridgway. Robbie hawked a loogie on his way out of the restaurant, and a woman standing nearby remarked, “No manners!” She later re-encountered the boys in the parking lot and, interrupting their conversation about YouTube videos, said “Put that on YouTube!” (referring to Robbie’s aforementioned expectoration). The next day, Elliott, Jeff, and Charlie Verdin returned to the 4th Street Bowl to recreate the incident as a short film.
An experimental, year-long project from the year 2011. Every day of the year, we aimed to take at least one shot of something, whether it be from a film project, an event/holiday going on at the time, or just some bit of randomness. Some days we forgot to do it, and some days deserved more than just one shot, but here is the final product of a year of work.

Starfox 64 3D Original Release Date: December 24, 2011
Two employees from competing video game companies kidnap a Nintendo test pilot and force him to spill his information about the hot new Nintendo 3DS game, Starfox 64 3D.
This is a shot-for-shot recreation of the hilariously over-the-top Nintendo Power promo tape from 1997 for the original Starfox 64. The content for this video was modified slightly to suit the 3DS remake.
Credits for helping to make this video go to Nick and Cara Bradt, Robert Thomas, various Starfox 64 3D playthroughs around YouTube, Pizza Hut, and of course, the wonderful individuals who made the original masterpiece video that inspired this parody.
Apart from usable music cues we extracted from the original video, credit for the soundtrack goes to Guns N’ Roses, Associated Production Music, and Josh Jones/Mega64.

The first of two “surprise” short films made for the Christmas season of 2011 (the other one being Starfox 64 3D). While not originally released on the Ridgway Films YouTube channel, this short was later uploaded in 2012 as one of the first Kommander Krunchy videos, when we were still figuring out what to use our newly-minted second channel for.

Music Man? More like One Man. Phil recreates the entirety of “Rock Island” from The Music Man Jr., without the help of any dang old community theater.
Creepypasta was filmed during the summer of 2011 as a throwaway short film project that would allow us to play with a new fisheye lens we had bought. However, it would go on to become one of our most viral videos ever, gathering over 300,000 views on YouTube. And on February 27th, 2012, it won “Best Film” at the University of Tulsa’s 4th Annual Spring Film Festival.
The story was loosely based on twodifferent creeypasta stories we found on the Internet.
This short was filmed in the summer of 2010, when Elliott and Anton had a free afternoon with the house to themselves. The film’s title represents an exceptionally deep cut – Da Ellie and Anton Show was a comedy show they had filmed together way back in 1999 (Season 1) and 2001 (Season 2), but never publicly released. This video’s episode number (301) alludes to a planned third season of the show. Several story ideas were pitched after this first episode was filmed, but nothing else materialized.
Episode 301 remained unreleased until the “Spampy’s Deep-Fried Films” DVD, where it appeared as a DVD-only exclusive.
A fifteen-minute chronicle of a most epic sleepover at Robert’s house during the summer of 2010. Featuring the Ridgway brothers, the Thomas brothers, Brenen Hankins, and Andrewblake Cullen-Madison.
This was an experiment video we shot in the summer of 2010, and didn’t end up finishing until a year later. The goal was to make a video that would allow us to practice with our then-new software (particularly Blender, for creating 3D computer models), using a short, sweet, and simple script written by Alex Ridgway, based on the Wii game “A Boy and His Blob.”
Alex began working on a script for Episode 2 but never finished it.
This was the second of two “surprise Christmas shorts” filmed for the holiday season of 2010. This gift given at the end of this video was a new iPad (hence the theme of apples and tablets). We showed the video, then had our sister Elisabeth run into the living room to deliver the package once the video was over.
Wilderness expert Jason Black and his sidekick Shae Monroe (AKA “Fluffy Monkeys”) make their way through a series of deadly obstacles in search of the elusive “Pickles.”
This improvised short film was created while waiting for Brenen to show up for a day of filming for Robert and Brenen III on August 14, 2009. He never did, so we were blessed with this bit of genius filmmaking instead. This short was so, erm, beloved, that it previously only appeared as a hidden Easter egg on the Fabulously Random Junk Videos of Sweetness DVD.
These clips were recorded by Brenen using some pre-Skype webcam chatting software (probably MSN Messenger) between 2009 and 2010. They were then released as a hidden Easter egg on the Fabulously Random Junk Videos of Sweetness DVD.
In the interests of pyromania, Brenen attempts to burn a (fake) $100 bill, only to be frustrated into tearing it up and resorting to a return to mortal kombat with Robert. Maybe.
This improved short was filmed after completing a hard day’s work shooting Earthbound Episode 4. We had a fake $100 bill prop we needed to dispose of, an decided to do so in the most dramatic way possible…

This was our second and final entry for the UbseyMovies 2008 Earthbound Fanart & Video Contest (the first being our shortened version of Earthbound Episode 1 entitled “Earthbound Saga Parody”). On September 21st, 2008, Ubseybound won first place in the video category of the contest.

This is one of the films entered into the 2008 “Plastic Freshmen” project at the University of Tulsa. We were given a camera, a giant Lego head, and one hour to finish the movie, and here’s the result!
Inspired by “The Present” (a short film made for Peter Jackson on the set of King Kong) we created our own “mystery package trading hands” movie over the course of one day on Christmas break of 2006. When we premiered the movie at home, we had our little sister Elisabeth run into the living room at the end of the movie carrying the treasure chest, which contained a Christmas present.
