Long time no posts, Ridgway Films.com viewer! Sorry for the lack of updates here… the last few weeks have been intense and fraught with lots of studying. However, I’ve found scraps of time to work on Harry Potter and the Final Video here and there, so that’s still on the way. Earthbound Episode 6, well, that’s pretty much frozen in time at the moment. We’ll resume working on that as soon as we get the free time to do so. But we have been up to some other video projects in the meantime…
Ever since the fall semester of 2010, we’ve been asked to produce video commercials for events and groups at the on-campus Wesley Foundation. In the spring semester, we took a different route and did an episodic video series, but with the commercials subtlely embedded inside the story. This semester, we’re doing that again – the series is called Wesley in Space, and it pretty much lampoons all things science fiction, ranging from Star Trek to Portal to Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Please keep in mind, however, that this is less of a “Ridgway Films project” than the previous two batches of Wesley videos. The writing/directing duties have been taken over by another student, so the only thing I’m really doing is cinematography, special effects, and editing, as well as helping to direct the videos during the shoots. But I hope you’ll enjoy these videos anyway! We’ve finished the first five episodes… check them out below!
